Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis, Scar Tissue, and Vegas

A few days ago, I went to watch the Just Imagine tribute show to John Lennon at the Planet Hollywood, and I loved it. They actually had a John Lennon impersonator doing most of his famous songs, and between the songs, he would talk about the inspiration of each song and the time period that it was written in. It was cool because I felt like I was getting educated in music history while learning that a lot of these classic songs I had heard over the years, were actually his songs.

That made me think of Anthony Kiedei. I am a huge Red Hot Chili Pepper’s fan, and loved Kiedes’ book Scar Tissue, for the same reason. He talks about his journey – musical, spiritual, personal and intertwines that with his inspirations for their albums and music. I would love to go to a Red Hot Chili Pepper’s concert / show where the story behind every song was intertwined with the music…..just saying.
